I want to share with you something I have been working on for nearly a year. I have a second website that I have been building to follow my electric car conversion and offer electric car information and news. The site has been under construction for several months but I want to get it out there for you to see and offer some feedback. This site was created as a journal for my conversion and a source of income for my family. You will notice on the site there are affiliate links to a “how to” product on electric vehicle conversion. The product is not mine, I simply earn a commission from selling it through my site.

I haven’t wanted to share the domain because I have been trying to learn how to generate traffic naturally through search engine optimization. In order to get accurate figures on search engine traffic I wanted to keep my friends and followers from this blog out of the loop for now. I have had several months of low but consistent traffic and am excited to announce that I made my first affiliate sale last week.

Making that first sale was a huge milestone for me as it finally solidified that this CAN BE DONE. It really is possible to earn an income online with steady and consistent effort. I have no programing skills, no computer training or anything like that. In recent memory, I would have thought that getting a file out of a computer would involve a pry bar and a hammer. I just watched a few how to videos on getting started with a website and got a lot of great information from Pat at Smart Passive Income. His site is a MASSIVE source of info for generating income online and if this stuff interests you at all, I highly recommend you check him out.

Currently, I am ranking anywhere from page 2 through 10 in Google for some keywords that I have tried to rank for (and a few I haven’t which is awesome!). I’m proud to say that my site is right in there with some large sites that have been active for years!

The main purpose of me sharing this with you is for feedback. I trust my friends and my readers here and highly value your opinion. Although I’m beginning to see some success with the site I am by no means an expert in this field and would love to know what some other internet users think.
